One of the biggest challenges with operational data is making sure that the data is easy to find for any solution.  Through the use of PI Archive, PI AF, and PI Vision, West Coast Gas has built out a solution where data is easy to find and visualize.  These tools build a platform for others to quickly find and ingestion the operational data with other tools like Power BI, Python, and Enbridge PI in the Cloud.  During this presentation, Steven will walk through some examples on how West Coast Gas is using AVEVA PI Tools to accomplish this task.

If you've worked with OT data, you know it's some of the richest data your business has, and some of the hardest to use outside its home system. AVEVA PI does the heavy lifting: capturing high-frequency telemetry from thousands of assets and keeping it secure and reliable. The challenge is bringing that data into a modern analytics environment while handling the nuances that come with industrial time-series.

This session is a practitioner's guide to doing that. We'll share real stories and lessons from landing AVEVA PI time-series data into the Databricks Lakehouse, and walk through the options for bringing it in. Once it lands, we'll show how your team can ask natural-language questions over telemetry, run real-time ML anomaly detection, and build GenAI copilots that explain system behavior. Then we'll talk about the value this brings, and what becomes possible when PI data sits alongside other internal systems like Maximo and PODS.

Hy2gen’s current project pipeline comprises an electrolysis capacity of 3.4 GW in planning and construction, and a further 15 GW of electrolysis capacity in development. Hy2gen Canada Inc. a wholly owned affiliate of Hy2gen AG, is developing Courant, a decarbonized ammonium nitrate project, in Baie-Comeau, Quebec. It is integral to Hy2gen’s growth. In 2022, Hy2gen AG raised €200 million and a further € 47 million in 2025 from renowned investors to develop its project portfolio.

Pembina's PI Modernization program has moved from early transformation and adoption into a more mature, operationalized state. What was focused on proving value, engaging SMEs, and building foundational asset frameworks has now evolved into scaling across assets, formalizing sustainment, and embedding PI into day-to-day operations.

Advanced Work Packaging succeeds or fails based on decisions made long before the first IWP is opened. When WorkPacks, ERM, Primavera P6, Wrench, EcoSys, and Delta Lake share a common WBS structure, data flows without manual translation — and construction readiness becomes a system-driven outcome rather than a manual effort. This session covers two real-world delivery scenarios, the engineering data staging prerequisites that must exist before IWP authoring begins, and how Delta Lake enables live AVEVA data to reach any BI tool without exports. It closes with an honest look at what spreadsheet-managed projects get wrong — and what changes when they don't.

What started as a need to identify leaking tanks more quickly became Ovintiv’s Rapid Anomaly Detection (RAD) journey—an operational analytics program built on the AVEVA PI System and extended through a hybrid cloud architecture. 

In this session, Steven Kociuba and Ricky Sun will share how RAD evolved from a single use case into a scalable framework for detecting and prioritizing process anomalies in real time. 
The presentation will highlight the original business challenge, the technical architecture behind the solution, the approach used to develop anomaly algorithms, and the collaboration model that helped scale the program across operations. 

It will also explore key lessons learned from expanding RAD to support 180+ monitored anomalies and how earlier detection, faster response, and exception-based decision-making have contributed to cost savings across Canada and USA operations.
