Ricky Sun is the Founder and AVEVA PI System Specialist at Sunlead Technologies Inc. With over a decade of experience at OSIsoft (since 2011), he held roles including Field Service Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Development Support Engineer, and Senior Systems Engineer, developing deep, end-to-end expertise across the PI System platform.

Since June 2022, he has been embedded onsite at Ovintiv, supporting PI System administration, standardization, and modernization across complex industrial environments. He has led initiatives to build a reliable PI foundation, enable real-time anomaly detection, and integrate industrial data into cloud platforms. He also shares PI System best practices through webinars and online content with a global audience.

At AVEVA Day Calgary, Ricky will present alongside Steven Kociuba on “It’s RAD: Scaling Real-Time Anomaly Detection with the AVEVA PI System,” sharing real-world lessons on enabling proactive, anomaly-driven operations at scale.
