The PI System is widely used to support pipeline operations decision-making. However, the full potential of the "modern PI System" with features like PI Asset Framework, streaming analytics, and notifications, is often underutilized.nThis segment will demonstrate how to maximize the value of the “modern PI System” by reviewing real customer use cases and discussing best practices.  We seek to identify missing use cases for improved decision support with an outcome of a prioritized portfolio of use cases that can be collaboratively developed with AVEVA. This includes creating PI AF and PI Vision templates with associated analytics, events, and notifications, which can be readily leveraged by customer participants.

For many businesses, data has become one of their most critical assets. The ability to collect, store, and analyze data has allowed businesses to gain insights that would otherwise have been missed. Furthermore, data capture is expanding, bringing challenges to consuming and deriving additional value. Adding to this missed opportunity is the fact that much of this data is siloed, further limiting visibility, and reducing the derived value to the organization. Identifying this invisible—or stranded—data across an organization’s many siloes and learning to leverage this information and its cross-domain relationships can enable businesses to gain a competitive advantage by discovering understandings that otherwise would have remained hidden. Join us as we introduce use cases where insights may be gained in areas that contribute to improved operational safety, integrity, compliance, and audit fulfillment.
