For a cost-effective and relatively speedy journey from Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Allianz MiCo in Milan, Italy, using a combination of the Malpensa Express train and the Milan Metro (ATM) is generally considered the best route.

Here's a breakdown of the route:

  • Milano Linate Airport (closest airport to the city center) by Metro:
  • Malpensa Airport to Milano Cadorna Station by Malpensa Express Train:
    • Take the Malpensa Express train from Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1 or 2) to Milano Cadorna station.
    • The journey typically takes around 40 minutes and trains run frequently (every 20-30 minutes).
    • One-way tickets cost €15.
  • Milano Cadorna Station to Allianz MiCo (Portello Station) by Metro:
    • From Milano Cadorna station, take the Milan Metro (ATM).
    • Allianz MiCo is conveniently located right in front of the "Portello" Metro station on the M5 (Lilla) line.

Alternatively, you could consider:

  • Bus to Milan Central Station, then Metro:
    • Take a shuttle bus from Malpensa Airport to Milano Centrale railway station.
    • The journey takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes and costs approximately €10.
    • From Milano Centrale, you can take the Metro to Allianz MiCo (Portello Station).

Important notes

  • Metro tickets can be purchased at the station or from authorized retailers.
  • Ensure you validate your ticket before boarding the train or metro, if applicable.
