Needed to get more information into the hands of operations, engineering, and maintenance across the fleet [nuclear, hydro, and thermal] to enable data-informed decisions, prevent costly equipment failures, and implement condition-based maintenance. Also needed to have more insight on historical and real-time data to be able to analyze and understand the reliability of assets and where they are in their lifecycle. The AVEVA Predictive Analytics solution and PI and eDNA historians have allowed for this.
