Pembina began its journey with the PI System in 2014, initially working to centralize operational data from each of its gas processing, fractionation, and pipeline assets. As a data historian, PI allowed Pembina field users to trend data with ProcessBook and create reports with Datalink. However, the full analytical and visualization benefits of the modern PI System remained unused. Starting in 2023, Pembina embarked on the PI Modernization Program to capitalize on PI Asset Framework, PI AF Analytics, and PI Vision. This session will discuss Pembina's approach to the PI Modernization Program, along with key successes and lessons learned.
