AVEVA continues to explore avenues to reduce the effort and risk associated with upgrading AVEVA Enterprise SCADA and the layered applications. We envision a user experience where our customers have the confidence to deploy new enhancements, defect fixes and security patches while maintaining controlling capability of their pipelines and an acceptable level of redundancy. In this workshop, we will discuss the different components involved in an upgrade activity such as the Realtime and Historical services and their corresponding databases, Active Directory configurations, and the Operating System. We will also touch on aspects that are key to a successful upgrade experience including management of change and upgrade validation.
