Renee Hopmann is currently the Corporate Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Manager at Zachry Group with more than 20 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC). Renee is at the top of her field due to her forethought, intuition, and propensity to see a project’s life cycle in advance. Renee works closely with cross-functional teams in all phases of the project life cycle to help steer engineering design and procurement material deliveries to support construction sequencing, improve project outcomes, and maximize productivity for optimal construction planning, installation, progressing, reporting and commissioning. Renee has worked on multiple project types, ranging from Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and refineries, to food processing and agricultural facilities, and has extensive experience working internationally supporting customer projects, including in China, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan. Renee’s experience in engineering design, procurement and logistics, construction planning, change management processes, and project controls helps project management teams by identifying gaps, and providing recommendations for improvements has led to her facilitating projects on behalf of Zachry Group for several Fortune 500 companies.

 

Renee has a bachelor's and a master’s degree in architectural engineering from the University of Nebraska. She has professional licenses in Nebraska, Texas, Louisiana, and certifications from OSHA and MSHA. She has held titles, such as, Procurement Manager, Lead Structural Engineer, Pipe Program Manager, and Civil Design Engineer. Prior to joining Zachry Group, Renee was a Structural Design Engineer with a pre-engineered metal building manufacturer and was responsible for design of the structures, reviewing fabrication drawings, managing department schedules, and determining project difficulty for airplane hangars, churches, and commercial buildings.

 

Renee lives outside of San Antonio with her husband and 3 well-loved cats. In Renee’s spare time, she enjoys crafting, painting, and traveling
