Thomas M. Christiansen is Senior Vice President at Strategic Power Systems, Inc. (SPS). He has over thirty-eight (38) years of experience and expertise in the capture, storage, validation, analysis, and visualization of equipment manufacturing and field information in the Energy market. He also has significant experience in the application of Reliability Engineering design principles and the design of Information Technology systems applied to field information.

He is a primary architect of the Operational Reliability Analysis Program (ORAP) and is heavily involved in its application within the Energy sector. ORAP is a system containing pedigree, operations, failure, and maintenance information from manufacturing facilities, operating plants, field service organizations and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities worldwide.

He has written numerous technical papers and articles highlighting equipment reliability performance, the importance of data quality, using information to make business decisions, and critical parts life tracking.

He has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Economics from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He has held various positions in SPS since the company was founded in 1987. Mr. Christiansen is a member of ASME, serving as a past Chairman of the Electric Power Committee. He has served on the ASME RAM Committee, the Advisory Board of the Electric Power Conference and the Gas Turbine Association (GTA). He also holds two US product patents
