Mr. Steve Worley serves as a SCADA Manager for the City of Raleigh Public Utilities. With more than 25 years of software engineering and network engineering experience, Mr. Worley manages the SCADA network for the City of Raleigh Public Utilities. His areas of expertise include Network Management, Performance Analysis, Network Security, Virtualization, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing. Mr. Worley served as a Software Engineer for IBM’s Server Division and Networking Division and provided industry leading performance benchmarking results. Prior to joining IBM’s Server Division, he created Network Management and Web Development Tools. His software development experience included leading agile teams to develop multiprotocol networking device software and firmware. He was fortunate to work with the original NSFNET routers which developed into the Internet backbone. Mr. Worley has several patents in the networking and security realm. He holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a member of the Information Systems Security Association and sits on the Board of the Eastern North Carolina InfraGard Chapter.
