Markus Herrmann studied Geophysics and Mechanical Engineering in Karlsruhe and Frankfurt, Germany. After his graduation in 1989 he delivered engineering projects in the process industry and became Project Engineer and CAE System Manager in various large EPC companies in Germany. During this period he worked on mid-size and large CAPEX projects always focusing on business process improvements by building the bridge between business (requirements) and IT (solutions). This also included responsibility for implementing 2D/3D design solutions and the rollout of a SAP based integrated material management solution for all Engineering disciplines.

Since joining AVEVA in 2006 he has been working in various technical & sales roles to present, deliver and support Engineering & Design solutions to customers in the Process & Power Industry. He is also member and AVEVA representative in the DEXPI working group. His main intention is to bring value to EPC’s and O/O’s by helping them in their Digital Transformation journey.
