We understand that the COVID-19 situation is ever-evolving. While we reserve the right to change the requirements at any time, we are currently not requiring proof of vaccination or masks at this time. However, surrounding businesses (such as restaurants) may set their own guidelines and require proof of vaccination. Furthermore, we have employees and customers coming from numerous countries. Each country has its own requirements, and many still have COVID-19 travel restrictions in place. As part of our duty of care (to ensure that all attendees get home safely and on time to their loved ones), we ask that if you display any symptoms or are feeling unwell, please refrain from attending the conference.
If you become ill with COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, here are some steps you should take:
- Immediately return to your room and inform the event staff via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask you to isolate in your hotel room and do not mix with attendees of the conference. We want to limit further exposure.
- You will need to reach out to your travel insurance provider and inform them about your illness. They will also advise on hospitalization, treatment, etc.
- You will need to work with the hotel to stay throughout your self-isolation. AVEVA will not be responsible for covering any costs of hotel, food, transport and flight change fees associated with any positive COVID-19 cases whilst at the event.
At present, we do not plan on doing any temperature checks. However, we reserve the right to change our approach if we see the need to do so.
We recommend you follow the current CDC recommendations; however, masks will not be required to attend or enter the venue.
Please bring your own masks. We will not supply masks at the event.
We will not provide personal-size hand sanitizers to attendees.
Do I need to take a negative Rapid Antigen Test/Lateral Flow Test every morning before attending the daily events?
- We understand that Rapid Antigen Tests/Lateral Flow Tests are not currently used in all countries. In some countries, the only option is to go to a government testing facility. The Rapid Antigen Tests/Lateral Flow Tests are daily disposable tests that can be completed in your hotel room every morning.
- We do not require you to take a test every morning. However, we ask you to take one if you start feeling unwell.
- Please bring your own tests. We may have some rapid tests available if you need to take one.
How does AVEVA ensure that an attendee will do the Rapid Antigen/Lateral Flow test if they feel unwell?
Testing is on the honor system. We know attendees want to do their part to keep the event COVID-19 free to ensure safe return home of all event attendees. We ask you to do a test if you feel unwell.
The closest COVID testing facility is at Moscone Center South.

I see some countries are changing their requirements regarding COVID-19. Is it possible that you will change the requirements for the event if the CDC/country changes their guidelines?
We have employees coming from many countries. Each country has varying guidelines with regard to the country entrance requirements. There are many countries who still have restrictions on travel in between countries. Unless there are drastic changes before the event, we do not anticipate adding specific requirements. However, we do reserve the right to add COVID protocols if the local goverment policies change.
What if I decide to stay longer for vacation and I contract COVID-19 and am unable to travel home. Will AVEVA pay for my isolation, change of flight, food, etc?
AVEVA will not pay for anything additional.
