Dan Whitzer, owner of Posie Productions and The Petaline studio and venue, is a Philly-area native who prides himself on his ability to ideate and create. Fittingly, his career path – which includes having toured as a professional drummer as well as stints at ESPN, Spencer’s, Thomas Jefferson University, Independence Blue Cross, Philadelphia Union, Holman, and AVEVA all while growing his own business – has been just as diverse as his creative way of thinking. Dan is also a 2021 Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree for his work creating a city-wide innovation festival.

Dan has been responsible for curating content and programming that highlights innovation throughout the organizations he’s worked with and throughout the Philadelphia region in fun, relatable, and relevant ways. Never one for downtime, he also hosted a web series called ‘The Spin’ for Independence Blue Cross and is the creator of the B. PHL Innovation Festival, which launched in 2019.
