Peter has over 35 years’ experience extensively in data and information management. Specifically in the management of engineering data, implementation of engineering systems, both 2D & 3D and the responsibility for data quality. He has led major projects across the globe through all project phases from concept select to disposal and has been involved as both EPC and Owner-Operator with responsibility for development of company standards.
Peter is passionate about moving away from bespoke company standards to adopting international standards with the intention of improving interoperability, increasing productivity, speeding up modifications and reducing operational risks. He is actively involved in several international efforts to enable cost-effective digitalisation of the asset intensive industries, including IOGP’s Digitalisation & Information Standardisation Subcommittee (DISC), POSC Caesar Association (PCA) and a number of other initiatives.
Peter is now the Project Director for CFIHOS, its' aim is to offer practical standardised specifications for information handover that work for anyone involved in making, operating, maintaining or decommissioning industrial facilities. It will also benefit everyone in the information supply chain including operators, contractors and equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
