Have you read the Capgemini Research Institute's latest report on the future of software in the #AutomotiveIndustry? One key finding that stood out to me is that many automakers are still in the early stages of their software-driven transformation journey. About 70% of respondents are only experimenting with software, rather than fully scaling up their use cases. This is concerning, but there are ways to overcome these challenges. Automakers can accelerate their transformation by focusing on key areas such as software strategy, talent and culture, and establishing efficient software delivery mechanisms. By embracing software-driven mobility, automakers can unlock new revenue streams, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences. Reach out to find out how we help navigate this transformation and gain a competitive edge. ➡️ https://bit.ly/3K6NbAk

With electromobility and climate protection relying on batteries, global demand for batteries is projected to hit 4917 GWh by 2030. However, challenges in product and process risks often cause delays in production start dates. That is why there is an urgent need to optimize and increase efficiency in battery cell development and production. Here, consistent digitalization can significantly accelerate development and manufacturing processes. Product-process linkage, end-to-end digital toolchains and simulation models can shorten time to market and thus are a crucial factor for the competitiveness of cell manufacturers. In a study – recently released during HANNOVER MESSE – we explored battery cell engineering challenges and potentials together with leading academia from PEM RWTH Aachen University, proposing an improved development approach to streamline time-to-market. The study, which was created as part of the "Battery Cell Technology Cluster" initiative, focuses on the question of how digital end-to-end toolchains enable an improved development approach and an accelerated market launch.
