Risk management is a common methodology in IT cybersecurity; while it may be ideal to have all protections in place, implementing it all may not be feasible due to cost, resources, and applicability. To prioritize what must be implemented, risks are ranked accordingly and then solutions applied to the highest risk vulnerabilities. This common methodology also applies to OT cybersecurity, with some obvious adjustments for an operational cybersecurity stance.
