Ernesto has over 25 years of process automation, DCS/SCADA system integration (Emerson DV, F&P DCI-S6, ABB 800xA, etc...), Model Based Multivariable Predictive Control (DOT Star Controller, Aspentech DMC+) and vertical PI System integration experience in several markets, with specialization in Batch Process and Regulated industry (API & Pharma).

He is leading a team of 20 engineers to provide PI system Integration, Project management, AF-EF Modelling & Design, Configuration, Batch Tracking Visualization & Reporting, field services and CSV support in Italy and Europe to address customer satisfaction according to OSIsoft standards.

Currently, Ernesto is responsible for e-matica’s Digital Transformation portfolio, based on PI System infrastructure (PI Vision widget factory), to provide context-driven digital support at shop floor for Operations and Maintenance (i.e. Augmented Reality, "Right-First-Time" through Immersive Virtual 3D training, 2D code, QR code and OCR for context recognition and content-to-context live link, master data cross-check, GMP manual data entry, Real Time KPI, etc... )

Ernesto has a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Rome with specialization in Process Automation and Robotics (1991).
Recently he has been accredited for Industry 4.0 consulting by Italian Industry National agency (2017).
