The transformation of data center power supply models, partially replacing conventional grid-connected architectures with captive generation plants, poses new electrical stability challenges. Baker Hughes uses ETAP as a key software for pre FEED studies to analyze these scenarios. The presentation emphasizes accurate validation of rotating equipment to preserve power quality, with study cases involving inverter based resources such as renewable generation and Battery Energy Storage Systems, industrial gas turbines such as Nova LT16, and synchronous condensers from the Baker Hughes portfolio. Static analyses identify optimal load flow scenarios and short circuit current limits at data center feeders.
