Within the Royal Netherlands Navy, the transition is being made from preventive maintenance to condition-based maintenance. Additional sensors are being installed on board to enable remote monitoring of the technical condition of critical systems.

To support this, a Remote Diagnostic Center has been established within the Defence Special Products Technical Group where large volumes of data are received and processed into substantiated maintenance recommendations. AVEVA PI and Predictive Analytics are used for this purpose.

This presentation will showcase the initial results and discuss the key lessons learned.
