The city of Milan is transitioning its bus fleet from traditional fuel to fully electric vehicles. This transformation requires efficient management of charging operations. Aziende Trasporti Milanesi (ATM) is responsible for building and operating depots and charging stations, ensuring reliable service for travelers while continuously optimizing recharge procedures. For this new infrastructure, ATM decided to implement a SCADA system that goes beyond traditional monitoring. The goal is to collect data from all charging stations and correlate it with bus schedules and travel times to optimize both time and energy use at each station.
