This presentation explores how artificial intelligence can simplify alarm management by standardising inconsistent alarm descriptions across remote stations and RTUs. When identical alarms are described differently, operators slow down, data loses meaning, and situational awareness declines. By applying AI-based language models, we can identify, group, and unify alarm descriptions at scale. The result is a consistent alarm vocabulary that enhances clarity, decision speed, and confidence when every second in the control room matters.
