Material Waste Reduction & Equipment Availability Increase on Coating Line using AVEVA PI & Visplore

We developed a system reducing overprocessing of silicone for a Coating Line using AVEVA PI to integrate sensor and lab data. First, products using more coating than necessary are detected, enabling significant material savings. Second, continuous comparison between sensor and lab measurements reveals necessary sensor recalibration for specific product types, reducing the need for frequent lab measurements at each order start. AVEVA, paired with partner solution Visplore, helped us optimize material use and equipment efficiency.
