Continuous manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry presents unique challenges in tracking material flow and establishing reliable batch genealogy. Traditional approaches often lack the resolution and timeliness required to ensure compliance, minimize waste, and respond to deviations effectively. This presentation introduces a Material Tracking System that leverages custom PI AF Analyses to generate input data for residence-time distribution (RTD) modeling. By integrating PI data through PI WebAPIs with the RTD model, the system predicts material genealogy with high fidelity and provides visibility into material diverted to waste.
