Before the solution developed over the AVEVA PI System, Paragominas mining used to use reactive approach to have a better management regarding waste disposal.  The management before used spreadsheets and due to this the process control to optimize the disposal was not possible.  With this solution, it was made a integration between ABB 800XA DCS and PI System, and now is possible to have an online disposal monitoring, with real-time KPI's that allows the process engineers and geothecnical to increase efficiency on disposal process in a limited tailling area, reduction of failures risk due to operational actions and increases sustainability, with an easy and safety operation on tailling drying area.
