Industrial Insight worked with International Paper's Rome, GA mill to monitor batch digesters for hard cooks, which had caused significant downtime at the mill. Industrial Insight created several hundred calculations and several hundred PI tags for each of the 15 digesters to look for KPI compliance during the load, steam, and cook phases of each batch. A simple PI Vision dashboard was built using the collections feature. The users could then drill down into ever more details in the PI Vision displays.

Once this management tool was in place, Industrial Insight helped IP Rome configure views in the integrator for business analytics allowing them to build out a comprehensive Power BI report that told them which digesters were the "problem children."
