Trained in the ecology of nearshore marine environments, with a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology and a Masters in Environmental Management, Angela has worked in the intersection of conservation and applied research for 20 years. Her current interests lie in the socio-ecological systems of blue carbon habitats (seagrass and mangroves), their small-scale fisheries and women’s role in those fisheries. Her current role supports ABS-CBN Foundation's Inc. work in community-based mangrove and seagrass monitoring using citizen science.
