Mr. Bell is a seasoned professional with over three decades of professional experience in the pulp and paper industry. Currently serving as the global director of pulp and paper at Radix US, Mr. Bell is recognized for his expertise in digital transformation, process control and process optimization. His career is marked by significant roles that have contributed to his reputation as a leader in driving innovation and operational excellence within the industry.
Mr. Bell’s career trajectory is a testament to his dedication and skill. Most recently, he assumed the role of global head of pulp and paper at Radix Brasil in 2023. Prior to this appointment, he was the program director at Radix Brasil from 2021 to 2023, where he honed his leadership skills. Between 2018 and 2021, Mr. Bell served as senior director of advanced process solutions at Georgia-Pacific LLC, focusing on cutting-edge solutions for the industry. From 2016 to 2018, he was the director of Factory of the Future at Georgia-Pacific LLC, where he played a pivotal role in modernizing operations through technology.
Mr. Bell’s tenure at Georgia-Pacific LLC also included a position as manager of automation innovation from 2015 to 2016 and process control group leader from 2012 to 2015. Before joining Georgia-Pacific LLC, Mr. Bell was an operations consultant at Kimberly-Clark from 2009 to 2012 and progressed through various engineering roles from 2006 to 2009. His earlier experiences include working as a staff process control system engineer at MeadWestvaco (MWV) from 2000 to 2006 and undertaking several engineering positions at International Paper between 1997 and 1999.
Mr. Bell’s commitment to his field extends beyond his professional roles. He is an active member of industry-related organizations such as the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry Inc. He is the 2024 Director of the International Society of Automation’s Pulp and Paper Industry Division, He is a member of eeABTCP Brazilian World Congress, and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Building upon a solid educational foundation, Mr. Bell graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1993.
