Barbara has a degree in Mining Engineering, with specializations in Iron Ore, Project Management and Port Operations.

She has been working at Vale for 4,5 years, in the North Corridor Production Planning. In her role, Barbara is tasked with deploying the optimal plan (M+24) for the operation of the Serra Sul Mine, focusing on ensuring its operational viability. This involves evaluating the maintenance plan, available ROM supply and plant capacity, all while translating the operational reality of the site into actionable strategies. She also conducts thorough analysis of the current month's performance and its impacts, engaging in discussions about deviations, coordinating corrective actions, and planning input cycles accordingly.
