Steve is a qualified Chemical Engineer with an Executive Masters in Enterprise Management, who gained his first experience working with Engineering Data on an old chemical plant in the role of a plant support engineer. Here he helped with process re-sitings, HAZOP support and a variety of other engineering calculations.

Steve has more than 20 years of experience in Engineering Information Management, spending much of this time working as a consultant alongside large Owner Operators and EPCs. Having been involved with Greenfield and Brownfield projects globally (Australia, Kazakhstan, Middle-East, UK, US), across many industry sectors and lifecycle phases, Steve has developed a good understanding of the Information Management challenges which are likely to present themselves and the most practical solutions available.

Within AVEVA, Steve has held a number of roles, including Information Engineering Business Lead, Business Consulting, Engineering IM BU Lead, Engineering IM Portfolio and Strategy and More recently Engineering IM Strategy for AVEVA Connect.
Steve represents AVEVA at the IOGP, CFIHOS (JIP36) meetings and leads the Software Vendor Team, which comprises of many industrial software vendors and is a member of the Tech UK Digital Twin steering committee.
