Valerie Panopio is a Senior Oil Markets and Downstream Analyst at Rystad Energy, based in the Sultanate of Oman. She is also the Global Lead for Refinery Margin Modeling, responsible for development of refinery models and generating Rystad Energy's views on refining margins.

Her expertise is on crude oil and product valuation, refinery operations, and margin optimization. Prior to joining Rystad, Valerie advised refining clients on production optimization at Aspentech in Singapore. She also worked for Shell in the Philippines where she held various roles in Technology and in Economics and Scheduling.
