Jannik Burre is a Process Engineer with a M.Sc. from RWTH Aachen University with high interest in modeling, simulation, and optimization of chemical plants. Therefore, Mr. Burre started his Ph.D. at Process Systems Engineering (AVT.SVT) department at Aachener Verfahrenstechnik in the field of optimization-based process development. After a research visit in Singapore at Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education (CARES) on self-optimisation of processes using machine learning models, he finished his Ph.D. in March 2022. Since then, Mr. Burre is working at Covestro in the group for Modelling and Conceptual Design on the development of processes for sustainable plastics production to contribute to a fully circular economy.
