Ivan Sopta is an international leader with over two decades of expertise in plant maintenance and operations management. Currently based in Switzerland, he serves as the Head of Global Maintenance Competence Center at Omya International AG, where he has successfully led maintenance initiatives across 87 countries, improving plant reliability by and spearheading the digitalization of predictive maintenance analytics.

Before Omya, Ivan held key roles at Holcim and Cargotec, where he developed and implemented condition-based maintenance strategies and reduced operational costs by 20%. Earlier in his career, he significantly enhanced plant performance and reliability in various roles at Holcim and Cimos in Croatia.

Ivan holds an Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne and is known for his strategic thinking, problem solving, commitment to safety, and continuous improvement in maintenance management.
