Guillermo Hijós has been working in Acciona Agua for over 20 years in key international desalination projects such as Beckton (UK), Tampa (USA), Fajardo (Puerto Rico), Tarragona (Spain) and Adelaide (Australia). In 2016 he joined the team that designed, built and commissioned the 163MLD (RAF A3) and 280MLD (Umm Al Houl) SWRO plants in Qatar as the O&M Project Director and is now managing the Operations and Maintenance of all desalination plants in the Middle East and Oceania. As part of his role, Guillermo has promoted digital transformation of the organization with participation in projects such as the COMS (Computerized Operations Management System), the PMS (Plant Management System) and the Digital Twin amongst others.
