Armin Scheuermann is a freelance technical journalist and moderator. After completing his training as a chemical laboratory technician in Mannheim, he studied Chemical Engineering and began his professional career in 1993 as an editor for the trade magazine CHEMIE TECHNIK, which he led as Editor-in-Chief from 1997 to 2022. In 1998, he founded the trade magazine Pharma+Food, which he also managed until 2022.

Starting in 2010, Armin Scheuermann, together with the Process Plant Engineering and Construction Association within the VDMA, developed the Engineering Summit — a congress that regularly brings together over 300 executives from the European plant engineering sector.

His editorial and moderation focus areas include plant engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical process engineering, decarbonization, energy and hydrogen technologies, and all aspects of process automation, functional safety, and OT security.
