Walt started his career 35 years ago in nuclear power with what is today Constellation Energy.  He spent over a decade on-site working in System Engineering, Valve Engineering, Engineering Reliability Programs, and Operations where he earned his Senior Reactor Operators (SRO) License for Dresden Units 2 and 3.  After leaving the utility, Walt became a consultant performing analytics, implementing ASME and ANSI reliability programs for nuclear plants across North America, and serving as the consulting firm’s Business Manager for the Chicago location.  Walt expanded his experience to AI and Machine Learning for all Power Generation technologies as well as the O&G, Aviation, Mining, and Manufacturing industries through software development, digital twin modeling, and deployment of solutions at SmartSignal Corporation.  Prior to joining AVEVA, Walt served as Sr. Director of Presales for Americas at GE Verona’s industrial digital business and Interim Head of Sales for the Americas. Today, Walt serves with the AVEVA team as a Senior Principal Solution Consultant helping customers gain value and insights from modern digital technology and Artificial Intelligence.   Walt has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University.
