David Thomson is a Principal Product Owner at Ramboll, where he leads strategic digital transformation initiatives across engineering, design, and production. He is responsible for driving the evolution of Ramboll's Unified Production Environment (UPE), advancing data-centric ways of working, and enabling the adoption of AI-powered and citizen-development capabilities across the organization.

With extensive experience at the intersection of engineering, technology, and business transformation, David works closely with global business leaders, technology partners, and product teams to define how digital platforms, data ecosystems, and emerging AI capabilities can improve project delivery and create new value for clients.

David is particularly focused on the future of engineering in an era of agentic AI, digital twins, connected data environments, and platform-based delivery. He actively collaborates with industry partners including Autodesk, AVEVA, Trimble, Cognite and Microsoft to explore how technology is reshaping the way engineers design, collaborate, and deliver infrastructure projects.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, David leads international teams across Ramboll's global network and regularly speaks on digital transformation, product management, AI adoption, data strategy, and the future of engineering delivery.
